Produced by Joe Meek, famous for both producing and writing the Tornados' international hit instrumental Telstar (1963). His credits as a producer include ex-Tornado Heinz's Just Like Eddie and The Honeycombs' Have I The Right.

This Johnny & the Hurricanes-influenced band took its name from the Dutch surname of band leader Peter Flee-Rakkers.
