B-side of Sadie The Cleaning Lady, the best-selling Australian single of the 60s.
Johnny Farnham compositions weren’t common in his repertoire, but they weren’t unheard of: he also wrote Two (1968, the B-side of Raindrops Keep Fallin’ On My Head) and What Can I Do (1969, on Looking Through A Tear).
Track on Imperial album The Cats, produced by Klaas Leyen. The Cats were a popular 60s and 70s band from Volendam, initially known as The Mystic Four and The Blue Cats.
This wasn’t the only Australian song covered by The Cats: they had a #3 hit in The Netherlands with their version of Kevin Johnson’s Rock And Roll (I Gave You The Best Years Of My Life).
