Single on International Sunshine, also on Polydor in UK. Double-sided hit in Perth with I Don’t Care.

Recorded in London at Polydor by Australian teen idol, produced by Giorgio Gomelsky. (See also It’s Not Easy and Ooh La La.)

Other Graham Gouldman compositions include Heartful Of Soul and For Your Love (The Yardbirds), Bus Stop (The Hollies), No Milk Today (Herman’s Hermits) and, in Australia, You Stole My Love (Mike Furber & The Bowery Boys). As a member of 10CC from 1970, he wrote numerous songs, usually with Eric Stewart, including The Things We Do For Love and I’m Not In Love.

Going Home is on the Ace collection Peculiar Hole In The Sky: Pop-Psych From Down Under. In his liner notes, Alec Palao says that the song, with its delightfully queasy string arrangement, is a pop-psych gem and the definite highlight of Rowe’s British sojourn.
