Melbourne group Dove released at least twelve singles and three albums 1973-76.
The Australian production of Pippin opened in Melbourne in February 1974 with pop stars Johnny Farnham and Colleen Hewett in the leading roles. In the same year came the Hits From 'Pippin' EP with four songs from the show, including Magic To Do by Dove, and the Pippin finale by Colleen Hewett.

Opening song of Broadway musical Pippin (1972) by Stephen Schwartz whose works include the musicals Godspell (1971) and Wicked (2003) as well as many other compositions and librettos for stage and screen. Pippin opened in New York on 23 October 1972.
A 1967 musical, Pippin, Pippin, with words and music by Schwartz, had no songs in common with Pippin.
