Original version

Single on Private Stock label by Australian singer from Melbourne, previously known as Cheryl Gray. More details at You Made Me What I Am by Cheryl Gray.

Emotion was recorded in Miami, produced and stylistically influenced by its co-writer Barry Gibb of The Bee Gees, who also sang harmonies on the record.

An early Samantha Sang single recorded in London in 1969 had comprised two other 'songs The Bee Gees gave away', The Love Of A Woman and Don't Let It Happen Again, both by Barry and Maurice Gibb. (Single on Parlophone, UK and Atco, USA.) More details at Joseph Brennan's Gibb Songs website.
