Powerful, energetic New Zealand singer, known as 'The Dynamic' Dinah Lee, born Diane Jacobs in 1943, an admirer of Dee Dee Sharp and Millie Small. Her rocking versions of astutely chosen songs and her cutting-edge mod image made her extremely popular in New Zealand and Australia in the mid-60s.

British pop/soul singer and guitarist managed in the 60s by songwriter-producers John Carter and Ken Lewis. (See All Music Guide entry.) She has sung on albums by Donovan, Rick Wakeman, Genesis and Phil Manzanera, and in the 90s she sang and played lead guitar with Scottish actor and singer Barbara Dickson.
